If you can’t find happiness without money now, and peace eludes you in life’s waves, how can you expect money to bring you joy? Reflecting on my upbringing, appreciating gifts from toys for tots, being thankful for specific food items, even considering McDonald’s a Christmas treat because it was a luxury – these memories remind me that happiness isn’t defined by wealth. Gratitude for presents from caring women, toys for tots, and mittens from schoolmates when all I had were socks for gloves filled my memories.
Looking back, I realize I was a content kid, finding joy in shared experiences without money and sick parents. Now, as I engage in debates about money, my heart aches. Stripping away everything, I’d still have friends, love, god, and trust that I’m cared for, having witnessed miracles. Reflecting on dreams and retreats, I’d rather provide people with enriching experiences than focus on money.
While understanding the stress of financial struggles, I believe trusting in what we have and acknowledging that we possess everything we need is crucial for mental well-being. True happiness transcends financial wealth; it’s about love, trust, and witnessing miracles. I am grateful for those who’ve supported me, and my deepest desire is to live and fall in love with life. Trusting the process, in God, and myself, I’m confident that what’s meant for me will reveal itself. Fighting against the grain serves no one.
